Please keep Saint Lucie County, Florida Firefighter Allen Civita in your thoughts and prayers. Allen lost his home in Palm Bay tonight due to the heavy brush fires that are happening in Florida. How would you define "fire chief". What do you think a fire chief should be, what he (or she) should possess for qualities as well as certifications,training and experience.
I know what Ithink. I'm curious what "the voice of the Brotherhood" thinks.

1.) We are looking for a building for you.
2.) Your class has been canceled
3.) Remember low temp hair care products when training up Maine in May.
4.) Ciampo introduces the “Cockloft Hook” from Fire Hooks Unlimited
5.) Car #1 is a vanilla pearl PT Cruiser
6.) Don’t trash the building
7.) Instructors made it thru the weekend without getting booted out of the Hotel
8.) Olde Clark announces that he is “Morally Relaxed”
9.) The “Treasure Chest” opens early in Portland on Saturday.
10.) Your swift water class is still stupid
11.) Fox debuts his new Hannah Montana spring blue jean collection
12.) As always, Get fellow FOOLS together from all over and there is great training and a lot of fun to be had where ever you may be.

It appears that we may have a couple of spots open for the road trip to Seattle this year. Sacramento to Seattle that is. We will leave Sacramento the morning of July 8th and will be pulling into Seattle the evening of the 9th...appox 1900 hrs. The cost is 125$ which will cover the cost of the RV..fuel..and a short jet boat ride up the Rouge River. Please keep FF Aaron Thomas, 28 in your prayers tonight. He was shot in the neck last night and is currently in an induced coma at Methodist Hospital in Indy. He had given a ride to the would-be robber, when the robber shot FF Thomas in the neck. Thomas managed to get the gun from the suspect and shoot the suspect dead. Brother Thomas is a 5 yr. veteran with the Indianapolis Fire Dept. at station 1. More info on Indystar.com

A tip of the hat to Brother mike Stallings and his cast of merry men for making me feel welcome during 2 visits while in Florida to look after my Dad.
I wish the weather during that pumping drill could be as nice for all outdoor drills I run up here....
