As the FOOLS PIO it is my responsibility to try and disseminate as much information as possible, in a variety of different mediums, on the organization in a timely manner to let members and the general public know about the great things taking place within the FOOLS organization. We have well over 1,000 "subscribers" to our Facebook page, and are building the number of followers on Twitter. These are both excellent ways to reach large numbers of people quickly, especially the younger, newer members who typically ONLY use those sites for their information. Having said that, I also use the FOOLS website, and in fact, tried to post the convention award winners, but for some reason, was experiencing repeated technical difficulties with that and with another announcement about Accidental Death & Dismemberment coverage for members, so I had to wait for our webmaster to wrap up his post-convention responsibilities before proceeding. In the meantime, though, I wanted the word to get out and posted them both on Facebook, and the award winners also on Twitter. We are definitely sensitive to the folks who don't use the social media tools for their info and will continue to post the news in all outlets so that EVERY member (and potential member) stays informed.
In the meantime, I would encourage all chapters to send me news of interest so that I can share it with everyone. We know you're all doing things that are noteworthy, but can't pass it on unless we know about it. So please...feel free to send it to me, or to Sippy.

Thanks for a great time at the convention. Everyone made a first timer feel right at home. I am so proud and honored to be apart of this organization. My fiance' now understands what we are about and why I am so passionate for the FOOLS. Thanks for the warm welcome, see you all in Florida.

Brothers and Sisters, What another outstanding convention. I wanted to use great but everyone has already used it.
Once again the brotherhood is alive and well as well as the FOOLS are alive and well.
Thanks to all three chapters that busted their butts to make the convention outstanding.
Thank you Ellen for all your years of service to our fine orginization.
The after hours events in the basement where times that I will never forget.
Especially the two bottles of Jameson, 1/2 bottle of Sailor Jerry's and a 1/2 bottle of the Captain and the paw print on Robby Fischers stomach. The laughs and stories and the signing. PRICELES

Just wondering why my wife knows more about what is going on with the FOOLS International through her facebook then I do through the international site. When did facebook become our way of communication? It is nice that you would post the convention award winners on a social page but not on our own. I know this was brought up before and got deleted. On behalf of my wife, myself and the entire E-board, THANKS to the entire New England trifecta for holding one of the best conventions ever. As always the bar has been raised once again. It was great to see so many old friends and to meet a bunch of new. This is the greatest organization that I know of and I am proud to be a part of it. Keep up the great work FOOLS. You ARE the future of the Fire Service.
